Top-entry ball valve
Review KEHUA top-entry ball valves by body access, lifting clearance, maintenance scope, seat design and project inspection requirements. Confirm service access on the model drawing.

Ball Valves
Top-entry ball valve
Top-entry describes access through an upper body opening. It does not guarantee that every component can be replaced with the body installed. Specify the maintenance task and require a drawing and procedure showing the accessible parts, lifting path and safe isolation requirements.

TOP-ENTRY BALL VALVE PROCUREMENT
What maintenance access must a top-entry RFQ define?
A top-entry ball valve RFQ should name the intended maintenance task and request a drawing and procedure identifying which parts can be accessed with the body installed. Check upper-cover removal space, lifting access, actuator envelope and safe isolation requirements. Top-entry construction does not guarantee that every component can be replaced without pipeline separation.
Related procurement checks: Review the offered drawing and qualification package.
- Define the service, design conditions, ball support, seat construction, bore and end connections independently.
- Ask which components can be inspected or replaced with the body installed and which tasks require pipeline separation.
- Check upper-cover removal space, lifting access, valve and actuator envelope, weight and supporting arrangements.
- Agree depressurization, draining, spare parts, reassembly inspection and acceptance tests for the intended maintenance task.
SERIES SELECTION
Top-entry ball valve: selection and RFQ checklist
Define the maintenance task and access space before choosing top entry.
Compare construction choices in this valve family- Identify which internals may be removed with the body installed, using the approved procedure.
- Check upper-cover clearance, lifting access and actuator removal space.
- Agree isolation, draining, spare parts and reassembly tests; do not assume maintenance under pressure.
