Butterfly Valves
Lug butterfly valve
KEHUA's lug butterfly valve series is manufactured by Wenzhou Kehua Valve Co., Ltd. in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, China. Review the lug body, threaded connections and mating flanges together when specifying pipeline isolation. The connection alone does not establish the seat design, pressure-temperature limits or approval for end-of-line use.

LUG BUTTERFLY VALVE PROCUREMENT
How do you specify a lug butterfly valve?
A lug butterfly valve RFQ should define flange fit, lug threading, bolt engagement and the intended maintenance arrangement. If a downstream flange may be removed, require written model-specific end-of-line pressure, temperature, direction and installation limits before approval. Do not apply the normal pipeline rating automatically or treat a seat test as end-of-line approval.
Related procurement checks: wafer butterfly valve series; shell and seat testing guide; Check mating flange and connection requirements.
Compare wafer, lug and flanged connections- Provide the fluid and solids, operating and design temperature, pressure and differential pressure, required shutoff direction and normal switching duty.
- Attach the piping and installation drawings with DN or NPS, flange standard, drilling, facing and face-to-face dimensions. Confirm lug threading, bolt size, engagement and length for the proposed assembly.
- If the downstream flange may be removed, obtain written model-specific end-of-line limits and installation instructions before approval. Do not apply the normal pipeline rating automatically.
- Confirm seat and seal materials, shutoff direction and leakage acceptance. If end-of-line operation is required, request the written model-specific pressure, temperature, direction and installation limits described above.
- State manual, geared or actuated operation and the required operating time and supply for review. List quantity, delivery destination, requested date, seat and seal requirements, actuation needs and required inspection records. Ask the quotation to separate confirmed scope, missing data and technical deviations.
When should you compare a different butterfly connection?
Start from the installation drawing, not a connection keyword alone. Compare these alternatives when flange removal, mounting space or connection dimensions differ. A change of connection does not establish a different seat material, offset geometry or pressure-temperature rating.
- Wafer butterfly valves
Compare a compact between-flanges arrangement; confirm mating pipe bore, disc clearance and the approved assembly instructions.
- Flanged butterfly valves
Compare integral end flanges, drilling, facing and face-to-face length against the piping specification.
For supplier approval, separate the shell and seat test requirements from the company qualification records. Agree the model drawing, pressure-temperature limits, material records and acceptance criteria for the actual valve; a company certificate is not a test report for every configuration.
