Check Valves
Lift check valve
A lift check valve uses a guided closure member that moves away from the seat under forward flow and returns to restrict reverse flow. KEHUA lists this series for compact piping; confirm the offered disc, guide and any spring arrangement on the section drawing.
About the lift check valve manufacturerThese are family-level options. Confirm the offered series rating and materials against its approved datasheet.
LIFT CHECK VALVE PROCUREMENT
How do you choose a lift check valve for the actual flow conditions?
Unlike a swing check valve, the closure member follows a guide rather than a hinged arc. The guide arrangement and closing assistance affect mounting requirements. Do not transfer an installation approval from a spring-loaded design to a different model. Provide the intended pipe orientation, fluid and operating flow range for review.
- Ask for opening and pressure-loss information at minimum, normal and maximum flow. A nominal pipe size alone does not establish that the closure member will operate as intended.
- Identify body, disc, guide, seat and seal materials. Describe particles, deposits and cleaning requirements so that guide movement and sealing-surface compatibility can be assessed.
- For pump duty, provide the stop/start sequence and expected reverse-flow conditions; assess closing response separately from the steady-flow pressure loss.
- Before ordering, reconcile the offered end connection, bore, installation dimensions and access for internal inspection. Agree the shell and seat test conditions and record any quotation deviations.
SERIES SELECTION
Which drawing and orientation checks belong in a lift check valve RFQ?
For a lift check valve, request a section drawing identifying the guided member and any spring, then confirm the approved mounting orientation. Provide fluid solids and flow cases for opening and pressure-loss review, with the required seat-test acceptance. Do not transfer a different spring-loaded design's installation approval or response limits to the proposed valve.

- Confirm mounting restrictions, inspection access and leakage test requirements.
- Send fluid/solids information, minimum/normal/maximum flow, pressure, temperature, reversal duty and the intended orientation. Add line size, required connections, quantity, destination and requested date. Request a section drawing, guide/spring details where applicable, model-specific opening/pressure-loss data and agreed test records; leave unknown limits for technical review.
